Vidu SDK provides cross-platform API-invoking interface that adapts to Point Spread's many cameras in a concise and consistent way. Vidu SDK is devoted to providing a convenient development experience for machine vision.
The operating systems and platforms currently supported by Vidu SDK include: Windows/Linux/ROS1/ROS2
Vidu SDK provides an API to access Multiple Cameras by Point Spread. The API includes camera settings, data streaming, meta-data fetching, and data saving.
Vidu SDK provides C, C++ and Python API to help you quickly construct applications. Vidu SDK provides C interfaces based on the GeniCam 3 standard and provides a customized meta-data reading and image saving interface in the same manner.
Graphical User Interface
You can use the Vidu Viewer together with Vidu SDK to easily connect to your camera and make your own configurations. The easy-to-use GUI can adapt to multiple cameras, and multiple configurations, uncovering its distinct control functionalities and layout.
The Viewer can simultaneously display a depth map, an infrared map, a color map and a point cloud. The point cloud can be colorized using the heat map, infrared map, or an RGB color image.
In the code examples, we demonstrate how to configure cameras in real-life scenarios to make use of distance mode, exposure, gain, and filtering strength.
The code examples use the general computer vision library OpenCV as the displaying tool. You can also use other OpenCV libraries to perform image data processing.
In other samples, we demonstrate how to obtain your camera's intrinsics and extrinsics. This same information is also used by the camera or SDK to compute point clouds with depth or color images.
